"And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" - Esther 4:14b
"For such a time as this." College is a time for you to grow and experience the most you can because after that you are expected to go into the "real world" with a "big girl job" and understand every traffic circle you come to (all the scariest things). Time and timing is all very important in college. How much time you spend with your friends; how much time you spend taking care of yourself; how much time you should have spent studying for that last test--it all matters. People spend just as much time thinking about timing (I know backwards right), is this the year I'm finally going to "fit in," should I get that internship everyone else is talking about, what is the best time to study aboard-- and you start wondering if you are really living or just questioning your whole day away.
A question that God helped me answer throughout the school year was, "What am I going to do this summer?" And he called me to serve His kingdom for a second summer at Camp Luther in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Being able to show kids my favorite place on Earth and then being able to watch them fall in love with it as the week goes on is such a wondrous opportunity to have. God has done so much for me in this place and it's amazing to be able to come here with an intention to help others in their journey to hopefully find as much meaning in Camp Luther as I have.
God calls us to love and to follow him and to be witnesses to his light and I hope that this summer I can do that both in my campers and fellow staff members but for my personal growth. God called me *me* here to serve him, and I couldn't be more content.
